Maternity Photography Session

Maternity photography is a really special experience and we’re so lucky to be considered as your photographers at this amazing time.  Maternity photography is a beautiful way to appreciate your gorgeous body that is able to create life! At Sunrise, we aim to capture your natural beauty by using simple poses, and we try to capture genuine emotion and candid moments with you. 

Sunrise Studios tailors the experience and the images to your personal preference. Many mothers-to-be prefer a glamorous theme while others may prefer a more natural approach or some may prefer both, or something in between. We can help you choose the location (if not at your home), and we will assist with styling and choosing props that are most symbolic and comfortable for you, to represent you and your baby. We encourage you to use any props or accessories of your own as well, that make you feel confident and amazing.

• Pre-Consultation over the phone, video-chat or in-person - Prior to your Newborn Session, we will speak with you over the phone, over video-chat or we will make an in-person appointment to chat over a tea about your upcoming Maternity Session. We want to get to know you and your personality, so that we can create personalized images by capturing the moments that matter most to you. We will address any questions or concerns you may have, discuss the themes, styling or colour schemes you’re envisioning. Don’t have any ideas? No worries, we have lots of ideas and inspiration to share! 

• During the session - Once we arrive at your home or the chosen location, we will set up our portable studio with our professional studio lighting and props for you to choose from. We will then look at your wardrobe options and help style with many accessories for you to chose from. Then we’ll get to work!

• Posing - We prefer prompting over posing. We want to evoke the most genuine emotions in your images with natural posing. We will suggest poses for you and also capture the candid authentic moments.

• Props - We bring props and accessories for you to choose from to adorn you and the environment. We have various crowns, materials and flowers to decorate your image.

• High-resolution & professionally edited digital images - We pride ourselves on our professional editing style that is bright, airy yet natural to showcase you and your gorgeous baby. You are beautiful and perfect the way you are so we believe photos for Newborn, Baby or Maternity Photography never have to be over-edited, they should highlight the subject’s natural beauty and glow. All of our packages include digital files but the Gold and Platinum packages include physical prints. All the digital files are provided at the highest resolution so you can assure that they’re the best quality and ready for printing.

• What to expect after your Maternity Session - After the session, we will send all of the unedited images to you within 1 week, and you will choose photos that you would like us to edit (in accordance to the photo package you previously chose). If you’re finding it hard to choose the same number of images the package allows, don’t worry, we can edit more for you for just $30 per each professional edit. Within 2-4 weeks we will deliver the photos to you either by Dropbox or we will arrange to send a USB to you.
