Welcome to Sunrise Studios, we are so happy that you’re considering us as your Newborn, Baby & Maternity photographers.

Sunrise Studios began as a passion project for founder, Angela, at her hometown in Sydney, Australia. She started working with children as a babysitter at the ripe old age of 10 and then became a nanny for many years later in life, all the while developing her passion for photography with her mother’s film camera from the 80s.  Loving hanging out with her client’s little ones, she started taking pictures of her client’s children for them to have some timeless images to remember all the precious little moments and all the stages of their growth. The word spread of her Newborn & Baby photography as her happy clients shared the images with friends and family, and the demand for Sunrise Studios increased. As a few of her clients fell pregnant with more children, she began taking photos of the gorgeous pregnant mothers and started developing her skills for Maternity portraiture.

Angela then moved to Vancouver and continued her desire to pursue Newborn, Baby & Maternity photography. When she first moved to BC, she started nannying once again and taking photos of the babies for her clients and the word of mouth spread again. Since Angela has such a passion for the human condition and relationships, she then went to university to study psychology at UBC. Deciding to study this field was the best decision she could have made for photography since it helps her direct and prompt her clients during the sessions and also capture the most raw and authentic moments. After university, she then took a position at a renowned digital marketing agency in Vancouver and developed skills in design, videography and social media management.  These skills allow Angela to have a keen eye for set design for her photoshoot sessions, digital design & composition for social media and video composition and production.

Our Sunrise Studio team believes that there is nothing that is more important than family and relationships. We love those beautiful nuances and intimate moments in different, unique relationships and it’s important to capture these precious times to cherish them forever.  Memory is fallible and you never want to forget these incredible, once in a lifetime moments during your pregnancy and after, while getting to know your beautiful newborn baby.
